Changes to Retiree Over 65 Medicare Supplement
Your Over 65 Retiree Medicare Supplement plan will change in 2021 from individual BlueCross Blueshield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) Medicare Supplement Individual Plan offerings to the BCBSOK BlueSecure Retiree Group Supplemental Medical Plans.
This change will allow OSU/A&M to better serve you with your insurance enrollment and offerings. This change will require every Over-65 Retiree to take action to either enroll in one of the three new plans offered, or decline future coverage. Continue reading for more information about enrollment forms, rates and materials to help you make your decision.
Open Enrollment
Your elections will be effective January 1. The three retiree group supplemental medical plans offered for 2022 are comparable to the current Plans F, F-High Deductible, and G. With this new change, everyone will need to complete a new enrollment form and choose a new plan.
Because it will be your Open Enrollment period, you will also have the opportunity to change your Medicare Part D (Rx) plan (PDP) choice. You still have two options. If you would like to switch plans, you will need to complete a PDP new enrollment form. Staying in the same PDP plan will require no action on your part.
Please note, all members must take action during the enrollment offering to have a Group Supplemental Medical plan in place for January 1, 2022. Failure to enroll in a new plan or decline the OSU plan, will result in a default enrollment. This default enrollment action will be communicated within the plan enrollment kit which will be mailed early October.
The Open Enrollment Plan Materials can be found below in addition to being mailed to you early October. You may also find the BCBSOK provided webinar published below.
