Leadership Development Program

Effective and skillful leadership is needed for organizational success. Leadership skills are developed over time through knowledge and life experiences. This Certificate Program is designed to provide participants with opportunities to learn foundational principles and best practices needed for leadership development and success at OSU.

The LDP is an innovative program designed to enhance the leadership skills of managers, supervisors, and administrative personnel at Oklahoma State University focusing on five OSU core competencies—Teamwork, Professionalism, Service, Stewardship and Supervisory.

What are core competencies? These are the key skills and behaviors that help you succeed in your role and support OSU’s mission. They set clear expectations for how we work, interact, and grow as employees.

Program Guidelines

  • Complete 20 credits (or courses) of training in the five OSU core competencies.
  • You have three years from your enrollment date to finish.
  • Up to five electives may be completed through LinkedIn Learning; each must be at least one hour in length and should align with one of the OSU core competencies.
  • Download and maintain your OSU Leadership Development Program completion form attached here. Submit it to osu-trng@okstate.edu upon completion.
