Employee Dependent Child Waiver Benefit
Dependent children of eligible OSU faculty and staff of OSU-Stillwater (inclusive of OSU Cooperative Extension, OSU Experiment Station, Natural Resource Ecology and Management Extension and ROTC personnel), OSU-Tulsa, and OSU-CHS are eligible to receive a 100% undergraduate student resident tuition waiver for OSU-Stillwater and OSU-Tulsa courses.
Deadlines & Information
Forms must be completed and required documentation uploaded to the Dependent Tuition Waiver site, by the deadlines mentioned below. We recommend submitting the online request to the Dependent Tuition Waiver site prior to the deadline for the completion of validation and authentication procedures. Employees are only required to submit the waiver document once. As long as the employee and dependent meet the qualifications, the waiver will renew for up to five years.
Spring Deadline: Friday prior to the beginning of the spring semester.
Summer Deadline: Friday prior to the beginning of the summer semester.
Fall Deadline: Friday prior to the beginning of the fall semester.

Applies only to courses charged regular tuition rates, excluding outreach exception (OUTE) courses, NOC courses, and audit courses.

Graduate courses are covered for students with a primary undergraduate matriculation.

Excludes high school concurrent students

The dependent waiver can be combined with other institutional tuition waivers not to exceed the amount of qualifying tuition charged. This will include only the tuition portion of the block rate.
*Students who are classified as international or out-of-state will be responsible for the full in-state portion of their tuition. Dependents of international employees typically do not qualify for in-state status per State Regents policy and are only eligible for the out-of-state tuition portion to be waived. Please consult with the Office of the Registrar or visit the In-State/Out-of-State website for more details.

- EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS

Continuous, full-time, regular employee (0.75 FTE) of OSU-Stillwater, OSU-Tulsa or OSU Center for Health Sciences. This is inclusive of OSU Cooperative Extension and OSU Experiment Station employees as they are based from the Stillwater Campus.

Provide proof of dependency, such as a tax return or birth certificate

- STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Under the age of 26 as of the first day of applicable term

The dependent child waiver benefit will no longer be available after the end of the semester in which the dependent child turns age 26.

Full-time (12 hours) for fall and spring semesters. (Full-time status is not required for summer or intersessions. May also be used for summer immediately following high school graduation).
- Full-time status is not required for summer terms.
- Exceptions to the full-time enrollment requirement can be granted at the recommendation of Student Accessibility Services.
