Authorization to Fill Position Request Form Formal request form to seek permission to fill a vacancy for a staff, tenure/tenure track faculty, clinical faculty or temporary staff position.  Provide the position details and the operational needs of the unit on the form. Waive Open Recruitment Guidelines Guidance to assist with preparing a request for an exception to recruitment (promotional opportunities, hire highly specialized talent).  Exceptions to conducting an open recruitment are available as appropriate and are subject to approval. Employment of International Employees Employees who are not U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents will need to obtain a work permit through International Students and Scholars. Reference Checks Hiring officials are encouraged to contact  references to ensure candidates are qualified for the position.
