Ruff Riders

The Ruff Riders are a group of student volunteers who assist the pet therapy program in a variety of ways. Established in fall 2016, these students accompany pet therapy teams on visits across campus.  They pass out trading cards, help with crowd control, assist teams as needed and take pictures for social media. The students have also developed a PR/Marketing Committee as well as a Fundraising Committee and they are active members of the Pete’s Pet Posse family.

Applications for the Ruff Rider program are available each August through the Student Volunteer Center (https://lcl.okstate.edu/volunteer/), typically during the first two weeks of classes.

Hours are recorded through the Student Volunteer Center and count toward the Service Learning CORD Program (https://lcl.okstate.edu/volunteer/cord-program.html). The CORD Program identifies graduating students who have given back to others during the course of their academic studies.
