Did You Know OSU/A&M's New Delta Dental Coverage Offers Three Plans?

OSU will offer dental insurance through Delta Dental for the new 2020 calendar year. Benefits-eligible employees may elect coverage in either of the three plans offered by Delta.  Eligible dependents may also be covered. 

Major differences between the three plans:

  • Low Plan – no orthodontia coverage, plan year maximum of $1,500
  • High Plan - Orthodontia coverage for dependents under the age of 26, plan year maximum of $2,000 per person and $2,000 lifetime maximum per child on orthodontia*
  • Platinum - Orthodontia coverage for adults and children, plan year maximum of $3,000 per person and $3,000 lifetime maximum per person on orthodontia*

*No waiting period for orthodontia utilization

The Low and High Delta dental plans offer:

  • Two cleanings, exams and X-rays per year
  • Delta Customer Service information lines
  • Premier and PPO networks 
  • Employees will have access to the Delta Dental online portal allowing you to view your ID card, search for a provider, coverage details, claim information, cost of care and quality comparison tools
  • Health through Oral Wellness Program that provides additional benefits based on the score of a written oral evaluation.

*Evaluation is based on a health questionnaire, current health state, medical history, and family history. Ask your dentist if they participate in this program.

The Platinum Delta dental plan offers:

  • Four cleanings, exams and X-rays per year
  • Delta Customer Service information lines
  • Premier network 
  • Orthodontia for adults
  • Teeth whitening
  • Nitrous oxide
