Did You Know OSU Offers Three Different Voluntary Retirement Plans?

Did you know that OSU offers three different voluntary retirement plans? Voluntary Retirement Plans offer OSU/A&M employees an opportunity to set aside retirement savings on a voluntary basis.

All employees paid through the OSU/A&M payroll system, including student and temporary employees, are eligible to participate regardless of classification, percent of time employed, or length of appointment.

OSU/A&M employees have three options:

  • 403(b) Plan
  • Roth 403(b) Plan
  • 457(b) Plan.


  • Minimum contribution is $15 per month for each plan.
  • Maximum tax-deferred contribution limit is $19,000 for 2019. 
  • Employees who are at least age 50 may contribute an additional $6,000.
  • You may contribute the maximum amount for both a 403(b) plan and a 457(b) plan

To begin contributions, change the amount of contributions or cancel participation, you will need to complete an OSU/A&M Retirement Program Voluntary 403(b) and 457(b) Plans Salary Reduction Agreement Form for the 403(b) plan or 457(b) plan.

Benefits-eligible employees can enroll and/or make changes online through BenefitFocus at any time throughout the year.
